The grounds
On our 50-acre grounds situated at the foot of Mount York, you’ll be spoilt for choice for the perfect location for your ceremony. Whether you have your ceremony in front of the Inn, or nestled among the grove of the nut trees, a stroll across our grounds will reveal the perfect place for you to say “I do”.

If you’re looking for a warm, unique and captivating space for your wedding reception, you’d be hard-pressed to find something quite like Pierce’s Barn.
Pull up a chair at our hand-crafted timber tables, enjoy a local craft beer, tuck into a sumptuous feast and share a yarn. Be enchanted as you breathe in over 150 years of Australian history.
History
Established in 1823
Established in 1823, Collits’ Inn is the first, and longest-standing building in the Blue Mountains region. Originally known as The Golden Fleece, Collits’ Inn was built by its namesake – former convict and unlikely entrepreneur Pierce Collits. In its first years, the inn served as an important piece of Australian history allowing a place for rest and a touch of home-grown comfort for those making the harrowing journey along the first-ever road from Sydney to Bathurst.
